TITLE: Director and Instructor, Paralegal Studies

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for leading the Paralegal Studies program and also delivering quality instruction in an equitable environment.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach courses via on-ground day and evening, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned.
Provide leadership for the Paralegal Studies program.
Build partnerships with external stakeholders.
Maintain compliance with American Bar Association guidelines and submit required reports as requested.
Work with adjunct program faculty to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences.
Utilize the college's learning management system to provide course materials to students.
Submit updated course syllabus prior to the first day of class.
Regularly check your NSCC email and your departmental mailbox.
Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours except on the weekend.
Complete all required reports such as attendance, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions; administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines.
Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar.
Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Juris Doctorate
3 Years Related Industry Experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Collegiate level teaching experience with program management experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes.
Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

RATE OF PAY: $39,776 - $49,720 annually based on experience
